And the angels pray for mercy for the Prophet. O you who believe! Send blessings and peace upon the Prophet. (Surat al-Ahzab, verse 5). Before asking for any dua, recite Durood Sharif after praising Allah Almighty: A person came (in the mosque), offered prayers and started praying after finishing the prayers. O Allah forgive me have mercy on me. The Messenger of Allah may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: O man! You hurried to pray. When you offer prayers and sit for dua, first recite praises, then send blessings on me, then pray for yourself.
